I can see this working particularly well for those establishments who have paid the registration fee and regularly update their own information, but it seems quite an undertaking upon the user community to update those pubs who have not registered. Also bear in mind that any delay in such details actually appearing onscreen could compromise their reliability among users of the site, creating an effect quite the opposite of that envisaged in the original idea. I voted for it, even if only to give it a chance, can't really say fairer than that. Would site users be responsible for the content? Or pub representatives (those few that actively post here about their pubs)? And I'm sure the widescreen bloke would have something to say about sport listings :) I too have visited many pubs not listed in the database (some of them very nice) and have stopped bothering to recommend them here since nothing ever seems to happen. Despite this, this website is by far my preferred first stop for anything to do with UK pubs. Increase your pub database, and stick to what you're good at, rather than trying to do all sorts of other stuff at the expense of what the website is all about.
